How Do I Stop an Upload on Moto E4 of Photos

    I got a moto e4 a few weeks ago.

I imported a bunch of mp3s a week agone. My old phone had a "connect to pc" pop upwards whenever I plugged a USB into the PC, and then I would 'disconnect' information technology safely before but pulling the plug out.

This phone (android 7.1.1). When I loaded the mp3s on, I just plugged it in and the PC plant information technology and was able to load the MP3s to a pre-made Music folder.

now I'thou trying to just transfer a bunch of photos from the phone to computer. I plug the USB in and I see nix. Information technology does pop upwards something like 'new device plugged in determine what windows does with this device". All I can practice is click on the pop up and it brings me to a completely blank window for the telephone. sometimes I get the popular up, now I'thou not. IT just goes straight to an empty explorer window. No folders or anything. And then then I google that possibly I need a programme just to plug my frkn phone to my figurer? Then how did I load the music on to brainstorm with?

I tried the USB cord that came with the phone. I don't want to download any programs just to transfer the photos lol. WTF?

Well I figured information technology out. Subsequently I plug the usb in, I have to swipe downwards on the abode screen for the invisable top bar you might non even know is even there!,

Then tap the charging icon then it gives me the pick to "Just charge" (how it was) or to import. What a stupid Fkign default setting! It's supposed to at least give me an option on the computer or show an icon instead of having to find information technology via the hidden swipe downwards carte on home screen, it doesn't even take an pick in whatsoever settings to alter this, it has to happen Afterwards you plug the USB in!

ISIS, if yous want to bomb headquarters, motorolla and android's are located at,,, ok nevermind.
When I figured this out, I think I originally had to do this to get the music on there a week ago.

They simply make things more and more complcated with all these bells and whistles, and they also basically want all your personal info hands default as public in a mode. Get real!

Same hardware and issues for me except that are not so easily solved. Battery at 100%--no options available for permissions. My device is already configured for USB debugging and MTP Xfer. Plug it into Windows 10 (or W-7) and it is recognized past no files can be seen or transferred downwards to the phone.

This doesn't work for me. After I tap the charging icon information technology doesn't give me the selection to "But charge" (how information technology was) or to import.

Y'all need to make certain you take the motorola drivers installed, go into settings, about phone and scroll downward to Build Number them tap on it a few times and It'll tell you Developer Options have been enabled. Then you need to hit the dorsum button, go to developer options, curlicue down to the usb settings and select the MTP option. Also make sure your using the USB cord that came with the phone, or another that your certain works. Just because it charges your phone doesn't mean it'll work correct for MTP.

I usually simply boot to TWRP and transfer files cuz the security in new androislds like to block file transfers and twrp doesn't let that get in the way.. Like shooting fish in a barrel-peasy

On the moto e4 there is a bombardment icon but it just gives info. It won't set anything.
    After the downswipe,
    tap the gear higher up.
    Coil to Developer options.
    Coil to Networking.
    Scroll to select USB Configuration.
    select Charging
    Plug in USB
    Select MTP
Then you are connected via the USB.

Using wi-fi was confounded by the phone frequently irresolute its address.

Where is the Similar button for me to click re makeitworse123's comment?

Try plugging in USB before selecting MTP..
